Finally, a Showerhead Designed for Masturbating

Finally, a Showerhead Designed for Masturbating

My review of the Wave stimulating showerhead by Womanizer

Super important update: I loved the Womanizer Wave as soon as I started using it. I only had one issue with it - the water pressure was a bit too weak for my taste. Well, turns out that was sorta kinda user error! I had no idea that most showerheads had a flow restrictor built into them. I got my husband to take it out for me, which he says was easy peasy to do. Since then, I've been seeing stars every time I use the Wave - it's a major improvement! Everything else I said in the review still stands, but the water pressure stuff has totally been fixed!

A good showerhead is a girl’s best friend. So, it broke my heart when I had to break up with mine.

I really didn’t want to. Not even a little bit. But I had no choice.

See, me and my showerhead had some great times together.

It started with the first time I pointed the spray between my legs. I was only trying to rinse off quickly, I swear. But when I felt how stimulating the water was, I decided to prolong my shower.

And that’s how I discovered that those jets didn’t just feel good against my pussy - if I had them on the right setting, they could actually make me come.

I’ve always loved my baths, but after that orgasm I got into showers in a big way.

It was so satisfying that I refused to part with it. I moved my massaging showerhead from apartment to apartment, and I made it sure it got installed before I even unpacked my stuff.

It was a great setup. Every shower I took would give me exactly what my body needed in that moment.

I could tease myself with the water, let my pussy enjoy all those beautiful wet sensations, and finish off with an intense orgasm before stepping out and wrapping myself in a fluffy towel. And when I wasn’t in the mood for all that, I could still relieve all my tension by blasting my clit for a quickie climax.

It was fan-fucking-tastic.

But then I moved into my current place and the fun came to an abrupt stop.

The water pressure on the shower here is serious business. You can really feel the difference - especially against your sensitive bits.

A massaging showerhead is no joke, so the intensity was already bordering on being too much. It was less of a gentle trickle to tickle your skittle and more like a powerwash for your pussy.

But with the new plumbing hosing me extra hard, I couldn’t take it anymore.

So, I had to call it quits and end one of the longest intimate relationships I’ve ever had.

We’d still see each other often, but we had to keep things platonic. I’d turn on the jets to rinse the shampoo out of my hair and give the tub a quick rinse before stepping out. But that was it. No more hanky panky with the jets. No more showers with happy endings.

Hanging up the showerhead for the last time was a sad day for me, but at least we had a good run. Better to have come and lost than to never have come at all.

Luckily, I didn’t have to give up on showergasms forever.

Because it turns I just needed a better showerhead. And now, I finally have one.

Good Clean Fun

The Womanizer Wave is a sex toy that doesn’t look like a sex toy at all.

It doesn’t vibrate. It doesn’t thrust. And unless you’re way more adventurous than I am, there’s no insertable portion.

That’s because it’s technically just a regular handheld showerhead. And it’s a good one, too. You don’t even have to pleasure yourself with it - you could just have a very nice, perfectly innocent shower with the Wave.

But trust me, you’ll want to get off with it too.

Because what makes the Wave special is that it’s the only showerhead I know of that was designed specifically to make you come.

And I have no idea why it took this long for someone to make something like this because it’s a million dollar idea if I’ve ever seen one.

The Wave is as discreet as can be. It looks just like any other shower accessory you’d get at the hardware store, right down to the same chrome and pale gray color scheme.

The settings are incredibly easy to adjust, too.

There’s a button at the top of the handle that cycles through three different spray settings. A standard one that gives you a lot of coverage. One that gives you a concentrated jet of water. And a third one that creates a swirly pattern with three separate streams.

And there’s a slider on the handle to adjust the water pressure. It’s super intuitive and definitely beats fiddling with the knob above the tap until you get it right.

After putting up with way too many orgasm-free showers, I was eager to take this bad boy for a test run. So I detached the old showerhead, screwed the Wave into place, and treated myself to a midday shower.

First, I tried using the Wave as an actual showerhead - a strictly PG-13 soap job.

And it worked really well. It’s not overpoweringly strong - a bit like a heavy misting. It was a very pleasant sensation, but I relied on the main showerhead whenever I wanted some serious water pressure.

I didn’t get the Wave just to wash up, though. So after a lovely rinse, it was time to see what it could really do.

I started off with the standard showery setting, the one that spreads out over a larger area.

Spraying it between my legs felt really good. It gave a soft kind of stimulation that was really arousing, but definitely on the weaker side.

I played with that one for a bit, enjoying the way it splashed against my pussy. But as good as it felt, I knew it probably couldn’t take me all the way home.

So I made a mental note - that’s the foreplay setting.

I pressed the button and moved on to the concentrated jet. I could instantly feel the difference - this one had all the pressure I was missing from the other setting.

It sprayed my clit without overpowering it. It was closer to the sensation I was used to from my older shower setup - only I could actually tolerate the blast from this one.

Well, not only tolerate it - I could thoroughly enjoy it. I was playing with the intensity levels and feeling my pleasure building up. I could’ve kept riding that sensation until I hit my peak and had a very nice showergasm to kick off my afternoon.

But I exercised all my willpower and held back so I could try the other setting.

And I’m really glad I did, because that’s the one my clit needed.

The three jets of water swirling around each other was basically the best of both worlds - localized and precise, but without being directly pinpointed or too intense.

It felt like it stimulated all the right spots at once - not just my clit but all around it too.

I started with the lightest intensity and gradually worked my way up, slowly pushing up the slider until it made its way to the top.

After all the teasing, the slight edging, and just plain getting showered with pleasure, this was it - the perfect setting to finish myself off with.

I held the showerhead in place and let it do its thing. I felt the urge to buck my hips, my breathing got heavier, and my pulse was racing. And then I felt that amazing, intense rush of pleasure - my first showergasm in way, way too long.

It was even better than I remembered. And it was so good I knew I’d be slowing down on the baths for a while - because now I had a really good reason to shower instead.

You Need a Shower That Can Make You Come

The Wave gave me back my showergasms, so I’m absolutely in thrilled with it.

Using the showerhead is one of my favorite ways to masturbate. It’s simple, reliable, and convenient. It’s incredibly pleasurable and deeply satisfying.

And I especially appreciate it as a mom, because showering is one of the only ways you can get privacy and a locked door sometimes. It’s perfect if you’re short on time and still want a really good orgasm, too.

So if you don’t have a massaging showerhead, I highly recommend one. And the Wave is a fantastic choice.

It’s not entirely perfect, though.

The water pressure is adjustable but it doesn’t go super hard. That’s actually a great thing in my case, because high water pressure is what stopped me from playing with my showerhead in the first place. But it’d be nice to have the option to make it over-the-top intense for times when you need a little extra power to get there.

It also doesn’t come with a shower hose - just the showerhead itself. So you need to buy a separate attachment to get it set it up, though I managed to use the one I already had.

That’s a bit of extra hassle, but absolutely worth it for endless orgasmic showers.

I haven’t thrown out my old showerhead yet. It still has a bit of sentimental value, I guess. It’s like an ex that had potential even if the relationship didn’t work out.

But the Wave is the one that can actually pleasure me and get me off without overstimulating my clit. So, that’s the one I’m leaving hooked up - permanently.
