I watch a lot of porn. So does my husband.
And since it’s a hobby we both share, sometimes we watch it together.
But the type of porn we get off to on our own time isn’t necessarily the same kind we’d watch on a dirty date night.
For one thing, I’m married to a straight guy. That right there excludes some of my search terms.

But I know none of that would be Mr. Austin’s cup of tea.
It’s not just the dudes, though. There’s plenty of straight porn and girl-on-girl action I’d skip over.
I love watching closeup porn because it’s so visually satisfying. It’s a vicarious tactile experience that you can get lost in, and sometimes that’s exactly what I want when I’m masturbating.
Sleep porn, too. It’s slow and sensual. It’s full of incredibly arousing tension. And as a pillow princess, it does a really good job of tickling my fancy.
But even though it can really turn me on, it doesn’t feel like the right choice for a naughty little evening with my husband.
And I’m sure if I looked through his browser history, I’d find all sorts of scenes and clips that wouldn’t be my first pick for a porn date either.
Finding some kind of middle ground used to be kind of tough. I didn’t want to waste a bunch of time browsing through tube sites looking for something suitable. But I also didn’t want to compromise and watch something that made me wish we’d just put on a Fast and Furious movie instead.
Years ago, I looked up porn for couples and found it all pretty disappointing. Some of it was too artsy for my liking. A lot of it seemed really dull. And most of it was a bit too tame for two porn pervs looking for a thrill.
I just wanted proper hardcore porn I could enjoy with my husband, not soft indie smut.
Since then, I’ve found a few reliable places to get the kind of couples porn I was looking for. These are three studios where pretty much every option is going to be great for your porn date.
Pure Taboo
For me, the most obvious choice for couples porn is Pure Taboo.
In part, that’s because it’s my absolute favorite adult studio. The fact that I can enjoy it with Mr. Austin is just a nice bonus.
But I’m not mentioning it here because it excites so many of my sexual preferences. I’m including it because Pure Taboo scenes have all the qualities that make it perfect to watch with someone else.

For one thing, it’s porn with a proper storyline. It doesn’t just give you a quick token setup - it takes its time to build up to the action. That makes it way more entertaining, especially when you’re settling in to watch it with someone else.
The length is in the perfect sweet spot, too. Each Pure Taboo scene is around 50 minutes long. That’s plenty of time to get invested in what’s happening on screen and feel some anticipation, but without ever feeling like it’s dragging on.
So instead of just watching people fuck, you get to see them be tempted, cajoled, and reluctantly give in to some incredibly strong desires. And that kind of slow seduction makes it so much easier to get invested in the action - and get extra aroused because of it.
And there’s a really cinematic feel to Pure Taboo that makes it work really well for a dirty date night.
In part, it’s the way it’s shot. There’s a dark aesthetic that makes me feel like I’m watching a classic thriller. And the camera tends to linger on details that show a lot of emotion - facial expressions, nervous hand motions, the way someone shifts in their seat.
“Why Should You Have All the Fun?” (Pure Taboo / Adult Time)
But it’s also the dramatic tone. These scenes aren’t silly or cheeky, and neither are the performances. Even when the premise is a bit ridiculous, it’s played straight all the way through - and the results are hot as hell.
The only thing that makes me hesitant to flat out recommend Pure Taboo to just anyone is that the lighting isn’t the only thing that’s dark. Some of the scenes can push the taboo elements a bit far, especially the older ones. If that kind of thing takes you out of it, you might have to be a bit selective. But if you’re into porn that has a bit of an edge to it, it’s the perfect way to get your rocks off.
Bellesa House
In a lot of ways, Bellesa House is the opposite of Pure Taboo - and that’s not a bad thing at all.
It’s clean and bright. It’s playful and sweet. And it’s not even scripted.
The premise is really simple - one performer gets to choose who she fucks in front of the camera.
That’s it. Just one girl, someone she’s really into, and a comfy bed for them to play around on.
“Lacy & Tyler” (Bellesa House)
Each video starts with a conversation with the performers. Depending on who gets matched up, that initial exchange might be comfortably flirty or adorably awkward - either way, it’s a great buildup. And it’s really fun to find out why they chose that specific person to get frisky with.

One of my favorite things to do with my husband is watch movies from about twenty or thirty years ago.
There’s just something really charming and captivating about movies that were made back then.
It’s mainly nostalgia, I guess. But it’s more than that. There was a real knack for storytelling that you don’t often see anymore. And there’s something about the style of these movies that hits the feels just right.
It’s really the perfect way to spend a cozy little evening.

Because the same thing happened to porn that happened to every other type of movie. Scriptwriting, filmmaking, and fashion styles all changed pretty dramatically - and there are plenty of adult films that captured that vintage feel.
That’s why I’ve got Wicked Classics on standby.
It has dozens and dozens of X-rated features from my favorite slice of cinema history - that mid-90s to mid-2000s sweet spot. And because they’re studio features, they put a decent amount of effort behind these films - decent for porn, anyway.
“Desperate Measures” (Wicked Classics)
It can feel kind of dated - it’s porn from the start of the DVD era and it shows. It has the visual style of a low budget TV movie. But that’s the whole point - and part of what makes it so entertaining to watch.
And it’s a great option when I want to watch some old school cinema with Mr. Austin but I’m in the mood for something way filthier than American Pie.
Don’t Waste Your Night Browsing
The first few times I watched porn with my husband, it really didn’t go as planned.
I expected us to snuggle up, watch something dirty, get handsy with each other, and then fuck for an hour while we mostly ignored the porn playing in the background.
We did get there eventually, but only after spending way too long trying to find something to watch.
Neither of us realized how hard it would be to find good porn we could enjoy together. So, we started planning ahead.
We’d start browsing hours in advance. When we found something that might work, we’d pre-game it by skimming through the video and making sure it looked good.
But honestly, most of the time we’re too busy for all that prep. And it meant we could never have a spontaneous porn date, so that sucked.
