How to Use Cannabis for Better Sex and Stronger Orgasms

How to Use Cannabis for Better Sex and Stronger Orgasms

Get high and get off

I’m high more often than I’m not, and that includes when I have sex.

I was prescribed cannabis to deal with the symptoms of my chronic illness. I use it to manage headaches, insomnia, brain fog, fatigue, and mood issues.

On a good day, I’ll only have to get high in the early afternoon. On worse ones, I’ll practically wake and bake.

I’m still high at night, which means I’m high when I have sex. I haven’t fucked sober in a very, very long time.

And I don’t think that’s a bad thing.

Sex on cannabis is something I started doing out of necessity, but it’s also fun as all fuck. I know it might not be considered pure or clean, but sex isn’t either of those things. Sex is about pleasure, connection, and playing around. And you can experience all of those things with weed in your system.

If you want to try fucking while high, here’s my advice as a chronic user who spends way too much time thinking about sex.

Why You Should Try High Sex

Getting high is a good way to put you in the mood for sex. A lot of people report increased arousal when they’re on cannabis.

I don’t know if it acts as an aphrodisiac for me personally, but I know that it eliminates a lot of my barriers to getting horny.

I can’t get aroused when I’m feeling a lot of anxiety and stress. I’m not one of those people who can turn anxiety into excitement — I just struggle to function. Getting high calms my nerves and soothes those negative feelings. I can get horny without being cockblocked by my emotional jitters.

Getting high also makes you a bit less inhibited. It can make you feel more physically relaxed and mentally excited, both of which make you more receptive and open to trying things.

But one of the best reasons to try high sex is that it can increase your physical sensitivity.

Everything just feels more intense when I’m high. Being touched feels better. Massages feel more stimulating. All my erogenous zones become more sensitive. Sex feels that much more amazing.

The orgasms last longer, too. That alone is a good enough reason to hit the vape before fucking.

Use the Right Type of Cannabis

When I was growing up, we used to buy weed — just plain weed. We had no idea what strains we were buying, what type of plant it came from, or where it was grown. All we knew is how many grams we were buying.

The highs were a little unpredictable. Sometimes, we’d just get relaxed. Sometimes, we’d feel energized. But we had no idea why.

Now that it’s been legalized, shopping for cannabis is a more complicated (but less sketchy) experience.

You can choose to buy from specific growers. Each of them offer clearly labeled strains. The concentration of active ingredients are also listed on the packaging.

It can be a little intimidating if you’re not used to shopping for it and aren’t sure what kind of cannabis you prefer.

I have some very individualized preferences, but in general you can find what you need by breaking cannabis down into three categories: CBD, sativa, and indica.

CBD

CBD is kind of trendy right now because it gives you some of the benefits of cannabis without the high you would get from a THC-dominant strain.

It’s handy if you want to take some but still go about your day — you can drive on CBD, but you can’t when you’re high on THC. But I haven’t found that it does as much to enhance sex.

The best thing about CBD for sex is that it should reduce your stress and anxiety. That will help you get in the mood for fucking and get out of your head so you can actually enjoy it more.

The effects aren’t always very noticeable (especially since there’s no high) and might not make much of a difference if you’re already in a fine, relaxed mood. If you have trouble getting aroused, though, CBD can be a good solution.

Sativa

Sativa-dominant strains are associated with what some people call a mental high. They tend to give you more mental energy, and I find that it helps clear my brain fog.

Sativas are more stimulating. They’ll make your body more sensitive and intensify all the physical sensations you experience.

Indica

Indica-dominant strains are associated with more of a body high. Instead of the excitement you get from sativa, most people experience a deep feeling of relaxation.

I don’t find sex on indica to be as pleasurable as sex on sativa. But it still makes you feel chill, horny, and puts you in a good overall mood.

Find Your Strain

The important thing to keep in mind, though, is that these are generalizations. Everyone is affected differently. I stick to sativa and hybrid strains because when I do indica, I tend to get agitated instead of relaxed. And my husband doesn’t do any at all because no matter what strain he smokes, he just experiences anxiety and mental discomfort.

But the effects I mentioned are the ones that people typically report and they’re a good place to start when you’re just experimenting.

Time Your Dose

Timing your cannabis consumption is important, because you want to be high while you have sex and during the lead up to it, too.

If you smoke or vape your cannabis, you will experience the high pretty quickly. It should kick in within minutes to half an hour.

I personally recommend vaping over smoking because the vapor is less irritating than the smoke, leaves a less powerful scent, and you won’t need to burn through as much weed to get the same high.

Either way, your effects will basically be the same — a high that hits you fast but dissipates more quickly. The high you get from vaping or smoking will only last about an hour or two.

My preferred way to get high for sex, though, is with oils and edibles. These take a bit more planning, because it can be about two hours before the high kicks in, but the high will last longer, usually a few hours. I find the effects are stronger, too.

So, if you know you’re planning to have sex in the next few hours, taking one or two capsules of cannabis oil can have you ready for a good, long, satisfying romp with your partner.

Don’t Overdo It

Getting too high doesn’t come with any major risks, but you might fuck up your fun.

Some people who smoke or vape too much can end up feeling a bit lazy, which isn’t exactly the sexiest mood (unless you can ease into a nice, slow fuck or embrace lazy lady sex).

It’s the oils and edibles you have to be careful with. When I overdo them, I just can’t function. I feel really fucked up and I have to spend a couple of hours lying in bed with my eyes closed, listening to a Taylor Swift playlist.

Because I take my edibles in the afternoon, I’m usually past those fucked up feelings by 8 o’clock and then I can get back into my horny mode. But if I take them any later, I usually just recover and go right to bed.

Some people also get nauseous or sick when they really overdo the edibles. So, do be careful. Start with a modest amount and see what happens. If it wasn’t enough for you, increase the dose a little bit the next time. It’s a lot better to play around with it until you find the amount that gets you high enough than to go too hard too quickly and have a miserable night.

Have the Lube Ready

Cotton mouth is a real thing. As a chronic user, my mouth is sometimes dry. That’s why I keep a bottle of good quality flavored lube on my night stand at all times. Just one drop of it makes it easier for me to give head when I feel like I need a little extra help.

And yeah, cotton pussy is a thing, too. I don’t find that one as much of a problem for me. I rarely use lube for penetrative sex (unless it’s with toys). But some women are affected by that more, so you should definitely have some lube on hand in case it’s an issue.

I highly recommend using a silicone-based lube unless you’re going to be using silicone toys. In that case, stick to water-based lubes.

Get High and Get Down

I haven’t mentioned cannabis-infused lubes, massage oils, and lotions. That’s partly because I have limited experience with those, but it’s also because I haven’t found them to be a very effective way of feeling the effects.

I’m still going to experiment further, but so far it seems like topical products aren’t an ideal delivery mechanism. If you want to experience the effects of cannabis, it’s better to get it straight into your system by vaping or ingesting it.

Whatever method you use, make sure you give yourself time to experiment first. Try out a few strains, see how your body reacts to them, and find the one that will let you have the best sex.

If you’re at all curious, you should try it. I know some people feel weird about the idea of having sex while high, but it’s really just a way to enhance the experience.

It’s like adding icing to a cake. Sex is amazing as it is, but nothing beats a great fuck while you’re riding a really good high.
