And just to confirm that I haven’t somehow skewed the algorithm in this direction by searching for all the wrong (right?) stuff, PornHub’s search data confirms the trend. “Step mom” was the fourth most popular search term in 2018. The year before, “step sister” made it to number five, sandwiched between “step mom” and “mom.”
So, (fake) stepsiblings are screwing each other all over the internet. The obvious question, the one that seems to be on everyone’s mind (as long as they admit to thinking about these kinds of things), is: is this weird? Is it gross? Is this wrong?
If you ask me, the answers to all three questions are simple: no, no, and no.
It’s Not Just the Viewers Who Are Consenting Adults
Mom’s concerned about her son’s masturbation habit. So, she sits down and has a heart to heart with his stepsister. She enlists her to give her stepbrother something better to enjoy than his own hand.

I picked the video more or less at random, but it exemplifies the main features of these kinds of step-porn videos. The actors aren’t actually related. They’re adults, and so are their characters. Although it’s not specified in this video, there’s usually some insinuation that they only met as adults (“It’s only been one year since mom and dad’s wedding”). And everything is consensual.
There’s a bit of moral panic about the trend of fauxcest porn, but those features check all my boxes.
I get where the kneejerk reaction comes from. There are genuine reasons to worry about incest, and any implication of it raises worries. But all the worries really have to do with child abuse or non-consensual relations. But none of this is happening in these videos (at least, not the mainstream run of the mill ones) and these characters aren’t even blood related.
Like everyone else, I was taken aback the first time I came across a stepmom porn video. But it didn’t take long before I realized that it was just regular ol’ porn with a little twist.
Where’s the Appeal?
There’s a lot of discussion online that tries to make heads or tails of this phenomenon and why so many people find fauxcest porn appealing.
The general consensus seems to be: they like it because it’s fucked up.
It’s popular, this line of thinking goes, because people get bored of the porn they’re watching and they want something more extreme. And what’s more extreme than incest?
I’m sure that’s part of the intrigue for some people. Seeing how far you can push a taboo and still enjoy it can have its own thrills. But if that’s the main reason for enjoying these videos, then I guess I’m in the minority.
The reason I diddle my skittle to stepsibling porn is because I’m a hopeless romantic. I love seeing, hearing, or reading about two (or more) people who fall for each other but they have to overcome some obstacle that should be keeping them apart (in this case, being kind of related to each other).
Forbidden love is one of my top 5 kinds of love. The tension. The eagerness. The refusal to let convention get in the way of passion. I am 100% here for getting off on that.

Look, I don’t go out of my way to search for stepsibling porn when I want to have a little entertainment and distraction. But when it finds its way to me, the stars are cute, and the scenario sounds fun, I don’t shy away from it.
Most of the videos have amusing premises. They have tension and desires that can’t be denied. And they have clear, often enthusiastic consent (you can tell the producers are worried about crossing one line too many).
You rarely get all of those elements together in one adult video. So, no, I’m not clicking on these titles because I’m especially interested in watching stepsiblings screw each other. I’m clicking on them because I want to buff my muffin to some good porn.
